B.U.I.L.D. stands for Building Up Important Lives and Dreams.
B.U.I.L.D. is a 9-month, career-training program that helps prepare young people for careers. You must be 16-24 to participate. If you haven’t finished high school or aren’t sure what job you want, this could be for you.
If you participate in B.U.I.L.D.:
At the end of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to get a job or paid apprenticeship. You can immediately start making livable wages. You may also be able to afford college while working.
There are 3 B.U.I.L.D. programs plus “B.U.I.L.D. Days.”

Our team of certified construction instructors and industry professionals train you in the basics of construction. You’ll have the opportunity to work on real job sites rehabbing properties in your community.
Some of the things you’ll learn:
A lot of the hands-on experience comes from the opportunity to work on real job sites rehabbing properties in Chicago communities.
Currently, most of our rehabbing is done in Englewood and the Roseland Community. So as you’re learning construction, you’ll also be creating affordable, quality housing for residents.
All participants in this program get NCCER construction certification. Some also get OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification.
